Biography
Kathleen Hessert is an accomplished journalist, social media advisor and entrepreneur.

A  former award winning journalist, Kathleen has spent her professional career connecting the dots in major social trends that others didn’t even see. Whether it is being one of the first women to be a broadcast news anchor, or female pit reporter for ESPN or founding a media training company for college and professional athletes, she is quick to see emerging trends and capitalize on them. Kathleen even recognized the potential impact of ’emoji’ as a new visual language and launched the highly successful “Popemoji” which helped the Catholic church to relate better to younger people.

Most recently Kathleen founded and launched “WeRGenZ”, a social media platform that identifies emerging trends in the generation ‘Z’ community worldwide.  The groundbreaking research generated by WeRGenZ helps corporations, governments, educational institutions and others to better tailor their message to this important and unique age group that represents over 1/3 of the global population.

Kathleen serves on the Vatican’s Humanity 2.0 project, the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte Lay Review Board and the Advisory Board for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice.  She is the strategic communications lead for MoveUkraine.org, the founder of KidsKonnectUkraine and consults for the Foundation for Tomorrow, a non profit organization focused on assisting orphan and vulnerable children and on implementing educational reform in Tanzania.
